Registration of Domain Names under ".co.il" and ".org.il" is available via Accredited Registrars. Accredited Registrars are companies or organizations which have been accredited by ISOC-IL after meeting technological and service criteria. More info.

Via an Accredited Registrar, Domain Names can be registered and renewed for periods of one or two calendar years.

At any time, the management of a Domain Name can be transferred from its current Managing Registrar to another Accredited Registrar (to transfer the management of a Domain Name to a new registrar, contact the new registrar).

There exists free competition among Accredited Registrars. ISOC-IL recommends comparing between the Accredited Registrars and the services offered by them, prior to choosing a particular one:

Registration of Domain Names under these SLDs is available only to certain Holders (academic institutions, schools, kindergartens, internet service providers and municipal entities) and is not available to the general public. more information.

Domain Names under these SLDs are not manageable via Accredited Registrars, but only via ISOC-IL directly. They are registered and renewed for periods of two calendar years (only).
